Generative AI is currently experiencing a Cambrian explosion, which is undoubtedly exciting, but also generates a lot of hype around the technology. Additionally, since much of the GAI technology is still emerging, there is a great deal of pressure and opportunity for product managers to deliver valuable products amidst the noise.
The aim of this talk is to address the inherent tensions associated with the hype cycle for an emerging technology like GAI, and provide PMs with effective strategies to thrive through it and build great products.
Rosana Ardila currently serves as the Group Product Manager in charge of developer products at Rasa, where she oversees Rasa Pro and Rasa Open Source and the core AI engine. Previously she led the product discovery for Mozilla Deep Speech, an open source speech recognition model, including the datasets and data pipeline. She additionally led the founding team of Common Voice, the crowdsourcing platform for voice data.
She has a background in sociology and a decade of experience in the open source tech industry, having led the open source community programs and open innovation efforts at Mozilla.
